For Shared Health /  Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA)

Adult Inpatient Physiotherapy Services

If you are a patient in the hospital, your care team will determine your need for physiotherapy services. When necessary, the team will make a referral to the physiotherapist servicing your ward. It may not be possible to choose a preferred physiotherapist.

Adult Outpatient Physiotherapy Services

To access publicly funded outpatient physiotherapy services for adults, a referral from a primary care provider is required .  The referral form can be found here. The completed form can be faxed to (204) 787-1034. You may also call (204) 787-2203 to make an inquiry.

Access for Outpatient Orthopedic conditions is granted based on a defined list of clinical criteria available here. Specialty Rehab services are available to those with neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and dizziness or balance issues.

Pediatric Inpatient Physiotherapy Services

If your child is a patient in the hospital, the care team will determine their need for physiotherapy services. If necessary, the team will make a referral to the physiotherapist servicing their ward. 

Pediatric Outpatient Physiotherapy Services

To access publicly funded outpatient physiotherapy services for children 15 years of age and under, please contact the Specialized Services for Children and Youth (SSCY) central intake at (204) 258-6550 to determine whether your child is eligible. 

PAR Health Services

A fee-for-service multi-disciplinary clinic providing physiotherapy for clients with third party funding  such as MPI or WCB, or with private insurers such as Manitoba Blue Cross. The clinic is located on-site at the HSC Winnipeg. Experienced staff offer assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions, as well as both surgical and non-surgical hand and upper extremity related conditions. Adult Outpatient Physiotherapy Services

Publicly funded outpatient physiotherapy services for adults are provided only at Health Sciences Centre. A physician referral is preferred and will be screened to determine if you meet the eligibility criteria for this service. Please consult with your healthcare provider regarding a referral for outpatient physiotherapy services.

Pediatric Inpatient Physiotherapy Services

If your child is a patient in the hospital, the care team will determine their need for physiotherapy services. If necessary, the team will make a referral to the physiotherapist servicing their ward.

Pediatric Outpatient Physiotherapy Services

Please consult with your healthcare provider regarding a referral for outpatient physiotherapy services.
