       The Rehabilitation Centre for Children is a community based-health care facility providing services to children with special needs and their families. The Rehabiliation Centre For Children requires a Physiotherapist to provide therapy services in schools in Manitoba.

The Physiotherapist utilizes advanced skills and knowledge and performs at a high level of independence as a clinical practitioner, consultant and educator. Practices are in accordance with RCC policy and professional standard. This Includes:

 

·         Collaboration with school, healthcare providers and community agencies who are involced with the client. 

·        Ongoing Liason with the child's caregivers

·        Assessment, intervention and development of goals with client and/or family

·        Participation in continuous quality improvement, client and staff education intitiatives

 

Education, Licenses, Registration & Experience:

·        Degree in Physiotherapy

·        Licensure by the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba

·        Excellent interpersonal skills

·        Physical fitness for lifting and bending and handling clients

·        Advanced written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to work effectively both independently and within an inter-disciplinary team

·        Minimum of two years recent clinical experience in pediatric physiotherapy is preferred

 
Employment is subject to criminal records and child abuse registry checks

Hours of Work: Hours of work vary by EFT and school location. PT staff typically work Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day for schools in the city and 7.5 hours per day for schools outside of the city following the school calendar.
Salary: $46.459 - $53.853 per hour as per MAHCP salary scale

Conditions of hire:

        - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to present a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (Including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Check.

-Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
